Silence and Re-visiting

I found this photo on Unsplash and it is the perfect introduction to the title of this blog entry. I have not made an entry since May 24th. I have had people ask me why I haven't posted anything. To put it in a simple statement, God hasn't really given me anything to post. He has been doing a lot in my personal life. If you follow me on Facebook, I am sure that you have seen my live posts or been a part of those posts. I continue to be thankful for every person that is following me on this journey. You all have been a true source of encouragement. It doesn't matter if I am having a great day or a very bad day, someone always allows God to speak through them to get me through or give me that little push.

There is a lot going on in this world and our nation. It makes it hard to be optimistic or to encourage someone else going through a difficult time. I have my opinions on the state of our wonderful country but, I have chosen to remain silent because I want people to know that God knows their pain. Jesus died for all people and His desire is to have a relationship with you. Voicing my opinion may not show God's love to everyone because they have their opinions also. I do not desire to be right and I am not going to argue with someone to prove that I am right or wrong. In the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that in that day when he comes back to rescue His people, you will be standing next to me in our eternal home. No more tears, no more wars, just me, you, our brothers and sisters and Jesus.

During my silence I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying. In the gospels we see many times where Jesus withdrew himself from the crowds to be alone with God. I hope that you also have a chance to do this. It is good for the soul! I encourage you to take as much time as you can each day to withdraw from all the craziness and spend some time with God. As I have been silent over the last two months I have also had many things going on with my health. You can find more of that story by clicking on this link. This part of my journey has shown me that even in the midst of a virus, God is still at work doing the impossible in my life and many others. God is definitely bigger than COVID-19.

I also want to take a few paragraphs to re-visit what Rooftop Prayer Warrior is all about. I originally created this website to bring together a community of people that want to place people in front of Jesus, even if they have to go through the roof to get to Him. (Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26; John 5:8-9; Matthew 9:1-8) I encourage you to post your impossible request by using this form or send an e-mail to me at rooftopprayerwarrior@gmail.com . As a result of this website, and they fact that I was looking for this same type of miracle, I have included my journey on this website. You can find my story by clicking on the My Journey at the top of the page. I have not had a flood of requests and I know that there are many other places for people to submit their requests with their church, on facebook or other websites. But, if you are looking for encouragement and want to be sure that your request is being put before Jesus this is just another place where you can make that request. People on this site are usually part of a church family. You have a lot of people on your side!

If you were part of Rooftop Prayer Warriors on the Wixsite, that site will be disabled soon. The new home is on SquareSpace. This website builder is much easier to use and supports many formats for photos and videos. I hope you like the new look. More changes are coming to this page. Recently, you may have seen the new logo. If you are interested in getting a t-shirt to get the word out, send me an e-mail. Here is a sample of the front and back. The wording on the back will actually read “Placing our beloved friends and neighbors at the feet of Jesus.” and it will not have the QR code. Instead it will have the website address. I will update these pictures once I have a final draft. These shirts will be sold at cost ($12 per shirt).
