It’s About Me

I have been reflecting on this year and it isn’t even over yet. In January the Church I attend did a sermon series titled “All Things Possible”. Over a few weeks, we all agreed that God was going to do the impossible in 2020. In December of 2019 I was given a very simple gift.

To this day, it never comes off of my wrist except for when I shower. I was given this bracelet to remind me that With Him All Things Are Possible. Everyone has an impossible. For me, it is dealing with the daily issues and symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. If you read My Journey and the prior posts in this blog, you will see the great things that God has done in my life since my diagnosis in 2016. For me, God is doing the impossible for me in 2020. In just 18 days I will begin the process of halting Multiple Sclerosis activity and hopefully be one of exceptional patients and my body will heal itself.

YAHWEH is building a big platform to allow me to share what He is doing in my life and I am excited to share His love with many people. While thinking about this unique opportunity the Holy Spirit brought a verse to me last night that has been posted a lot on social media - 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

As you have just read that, I am sure I just heard an AMEN! Do not think that I am pointing fingers or judging you when I say this but, I am sure you are thinking about all the wicked people in our land that need to turn an repent. The lost souls that need to turn to Jesus and repent. But that is not who this verse is talking about. It says “if my people”. A lost person is not who God is talking about. He is talking about Me. He is talking about YOU. Oh my, I think I just stirred up a hornet’s nest. You just turned on your defense mechanism because you say you are not wicked and who am I to say that you are wicked. When you think of wicked, you are probably automatically thinking of a thief, a murderer, an adulterer, a person who rapes someone or is greedy. Yes these thing are definitely wicked. But sin is sin. So when God is saying turn from your wicked ways, He wants us to turn from our sinful ways. All sin is wicked in Gods eyes.

During this pandemic, we have all talked about changes that we want to make in our lives. Spending more time with YAHWEH, spending more time with our family, or reading our Bible. Some of us have committed to and have already made those changes permanent and I am happy for you. But, what else are you doing in your life that has become more important or taken the place of God? I believe that it is time for God’s children to rise up, be renewed and full of joy. Does that mean that things will be perfect and there will be no more pandemics or disasters? No. But, when you completely trust God every day you will not have to worry about tomorrow because He is carrying us through. When we have this joy in the midst of a crisis, we are better equipped to share the love of Jesus with those that are around us. We are able to make an eternal impact.

Friends, I do not know what my healing will look like. I still have a long journey ahead of me but, no matter what happens, my Father in heaven will be glorified. He has made a way when I thought the road was a dead end. He has broken down walls that were preventing me from getting to where I am today. He has freed me from a lot of my “wicked ways”. I have a better relationship with YAHWEH than I have had in my entire walk with Him. If you do not have Christ in your life, if you have never turned your life over to Him. Today is great day to start that journey. If that is something that you want to do, just send an email. I will be happy to respond.

Have you figured out what wicked ways you need to turn from? Stop, take a moment to seek forgiveness from God and let Him heal our land.
