Building Up

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. -Hebrews 10:23-25

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. -1Thessalonians 5:11

If anyone that reads this blog and has followed my journey with halting MS you may have watched a video about a follow up appointment that I had on December 10, 2020. If not, you can watch the video here. At about 8:51 I mentioned Jen and at 11:15 I talked about Evelyn. Please make sure you watch that video (it is kind of long) before you continue reading. At 13:20 I talked more about my interaction with Evelyn. When I was reviewing some items on my website, I realized that we did not have a photo so during my visit this week, we snapped a quick photo

My heaven sent sister in Christ!

It is not everyday that you meet someone that is so aware of the issues that you are facing and the encouragement that you need. Life can be hard sometimes, even when you know that you are doing the right things. It was not by chance that Jen and Evelyn had the right words at the right time that day. I know I really held it together in the video but, when I was at the Mellen Center pouring out my concerns to Evelyn she had the words that I needed to hear. All I could do was just hug her and thank her for her encouragement. When I came back out from my appointment and shared the news with her I was just as emotional. There was so much relief and I just remember her repeating words of encouragement and bits of God’s promises to me. I don’t know about you but, I am very glad that God knows exactly what I need.

So the next time that Satan is planting those words of doubt and despair, remember that your Creator cares about you so much that he keeps every tear.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? -Psalms 56:8

My Prayer- Lord, may I always be an encourager to everyone around me and help me to always share in their disappointments and in their triumphs.
